Farm Out 2019

  FARM OUT 2019 on April 27th, 9 am - 5 pm    Students in grades 5th - 8th are invited to our 350-acre organic farm for a day of fun (and educational) farm activities!  The theme this year is "food cycle, recycle".  All activities, goodies, and lunch are free to participants.

Environmental Information Event a Success at Olney

More than fifty people attended the Health and Community Impacts of Oil and Gas Development meeting at Olney Friends School. Experts shared their knowledge about fracking and local residents were given the opportunity to share their stories and ask questions.

Protecting our Watershed

     The Farm at Olney Friends School is practicing the Quaker tenet of stewardship by taking care of our water. We have planted cover crops including winter rye, wheat, and Austrian field peas to protect Livezey Lake, which sits at the top of the Captina Creek watershed.

Olney Receives Recycling Grant

Decades of environmental stewardship are paying off for Olney Friends School in the form of a $5,000 grant that will be used to create a new recycling center on campus.
